I just got an air fryer from my aunt, and needless to say, I was excited. I couldn't wait to try out all the interesting recipes I'd seen.

One prime recipe was the sweet potato fries. I had seen blogger Aimee Song (https://songofstyle.com) do so on her platform and was excited to try out my own version. Fingers crossed that they would be as awesome as hers.

Recipe

Ingredients:

1 sweet potato

400g olive oil

10-15g each of seasoning: black pepper, salt, chili flakes and garlic power

Prep

Wash, peel, and slice up sweet potato into pinkie finger sized strips

Directions:

1. Preheat air fryer to 200°

2. Place potato slices in a mixing bowl and add olive oil

3. Add in your seasoning and mix until all fries are evenly coated

4. Place in air fryer in small batches at a time, and cook for 8 minutes

5. Open the basket and turn over the fries to ensure even cooking; cook for another 8 minutes

6. Once fries are slightly crisp and browned at the edges, take out to cool

7. Serve with a dipping sauce of your choice

8. Enjoy! :)

These fries were so delicious that when I turned my back to get some milk, my mother swiped more than half of the pile to eat. Seriously, mom!

Hope I will get to try these another time!

Yesterday, I just went for a steamboat dinner. At the end, I finished my drink and felt an extremely salty taste in my mouth, together with a full stomach.

When I went home, I was browsing through Pinterest and happened across this recipe that was reputed to taste like ice cream. "Hey," I thought, "That is exactly what I need." Hence I proceeded to make the banana mochi.

First, I made sure I had all the ingredients needed. I went down to the supermarket and bought 2 cups of berry yoghurt.

I poured the yoghurt into a bowl.

Then I proceeded to cut a few slices of banana (which I already had at home).

Finaly, I dipped the banana slice into the yoghurt and laid them out on a plate.

After, I placed the plate into the fridge to freeze them.

1 hour later, this is what emerged.

The results were that the banana did indeed taste like ice-cream. The frozen yoghurt was great and the banana slices were creamy and soft.

It was a perfect snack.
